O.G Watches – Deep Space Blue

The dial of the Deep Space Blue creates a dynamic visual effect.  As the watch moves, the dial channels light diagonally, causing a constellation of stars to flash and fade across a deep blue. This effect is achieved through a combination of decorative techniques: fine brushing, applying a blue lacquer, precision engraving and rhodium galvanisation.

Like the first Deep Space series, the hands are made in a modular construction. This creates a homogeneous form, but with a clear contrast. A paradoxical innovation that we've taken further - now moulding each hand tip from a luminous ceramic, radiating a strong blue glow in low light.

The larger sections of the hands are made from 904L steel - a world's first in watchmaking. They feature curved top surfaces that are mirror polished to warp time and light. To enhance their fluid appearance the centre pinion is hidden - another technical achievement in our pursuit of refinement and simplicity.

The Deep Space Blue's case is also made of 904L steel, resulting in an exceptionally bright finish, subtly contrasted by its sandblasted surfaces. Its cool tone and radiance enhances the vibrancy of each unique dial.

The minute track is separate from the dial and created through the highly technical challenge of engraving its shape into the front sapphire crystal - a material almost as hard as diamond.

Once the minute track is cut, it's filled with a mixture of Grade X1 Super-LumiNova to achieve a seamless integration of two entirely different materials. A complex process to achieve the ultimate simplicity. Watch the video to see more.

Movement

The LTM5000-G is an exclusive design and specification developed specially for O.G. At just 3.3mm thin, with a variable-inertia balance wheel and a 60 hour power reserve, it shines from every perspective, with polished anglage that highlights its unique semi-skeletonised construction. The future is looking good.

Strap

The buckle continues the design language of the Deep Space Blue - shaped from 904L steel with polished facets and sandblasted surfaces that mirror the case’s finish. Two Alcantara and calf leather straps are included - Beyond Blue and Into Grey which are handmade to size.
