Mauron Musy x Frederic Jouvenot – HPM1 (Blue)

What do Mauron Musy and Frédéric Jouvenot have in common?  A desire to shake up the codes of traditional watchmaking?  A relentless quest for innovation?  The arrogance of youth...?  All of the above!  It was only natural that the two would end up working together.

The HPM1 marks the first collaboration between Mauron Musy and Frédéric Jouvenot.  And the La Chaux-de-Fonds watchmaker has developed an unprecedented way of telling the time.  No hands, no numbers: the time is revealed by sunbeams that change colour. Drawn in by this unique concept, the Fribourg manufacturer was inspired to combine the concept with the contemporary, industrial design of its watches with their MM01 movement. Working together with the entire Mauron Musy team, high-flying designer Frédéric Jouvenot’s sharp eye has led to a timepiece design that disrupts the norm.

The dial looks like a hydraulic turbine. A central hand displays the minutes.  Twelve small titanium vanes swivel instantly with each passing hour. Completely black at midnight, as daylight emerges, they begin to take on colour.  Produced in a limited edition of 18 pieces, with its 44 mm titanium case, the HPM1 is available in four colours: purple, turquoise, blue and white.  It's total weight is no more than 120 grams.
